The Facebook vs. Breast Feeders War Continues

The groundswell of pissed off breast feeding women is starting to take full form as we head into day seven of the "Facebook vs. Ladies who want to show off their awesome breast feeding skillz" battle persists.

With over 11,000 Facebooks members changing their profile pictures to photos of women breast feeding and virtual "nurse-ins," this is certainly going to be an all out war I don't see Facebook winning. Dozens of pro-teat supporters stormed Facebook's Palo Alto headquarters last Saturday in protest.

This is clearly taking on a life of its own and Facebook needs to do something, other than just say they will continue removing pictures.

Have we not learned anything form Digg's AACS DVD code debacle? Your users are not going to back down until they get what they want. Facebook either needs to let their breastfeeding audience know that they hear them and respect their opinion, or these bloodthirsty broads will never stop. I should know, I have had ample experience with bloodthirsty broads.

At last post their were 78,000 members of the group "Hey, Facebook, breastfeeding is not obscene." There are now 126,634 members!! I am a card carrying member and I implore you to join up if you want.

  1. I am really not sure what Facebook is trying to prove by resisting this. They obviously have someone checking the photos for prohibited images, and a baby being breastfed is easily identifiable. So what's the problem?

Sounds to me like someone at Facebook has a major issue that goes way beyond a concern about "porn".
